Hello All,
We received among our donations 2 titles that may be of interest for a library collection-
They are rather specialized, and outside of our collection scope.
1. Potomac Craftsmen : fifty years of Fiber in the Washington DC Area ed. By Verna Suit
A small (8.5 x 5.5 ) paperback published 1996 by Cackle Press. Covers from 1944 through 1994.
There's some light pencil markings and notations by a member (evidently).
All text with 1 group photo and loose attachment of by-laws and weaving degree program.
No illustrations.
2. Velocity of Light
Facsimile of handwritten notebook by A. A. Michelson from his 1878 experiments and calculations, which for the first
Time accurately determined the velocity of light.
Size: 12.5 x 7.5
Honeywell, Inc. reproduced this notebook. Comes with an explanatory folder with background of Michelson and the investigations conducted with E. W. Morley. This experiment was influential in relation to Einstein's work.
We will mail to the first responses for either title.
